It is formed from an azeotropic blend of HFC (Hydrofluorocarbon)-125 and HFC-32. It has been incorporated into R-410A systems around the world. In addition to providing energy-efficient, environmentally friendly cooling, these systems are relatively simple to service in the field. The Genetron AZ-20 has been designated with an A1 safety rating by the ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers).

Genetron 407C is ideal for residential use. It uses a non-ozone-depleting blend of HCF-134a, HCF-125, and HCF-32. This model is a similar match to the pressure and performance specifications of the older R-22 systems. As a result, it can effectively be retro-fitted into applications which were originally designed for the R-22. As with the Genetron AZ-20, the 407C has been classified in the A1 safety category by members of the ASHRAE.
